We REACHED our goal of making 800 bowls!
Saturday was FANTASTIC!!! There were people all over the Chapman Cultural Center. I counted 82 people sitting, standing and kneeling making bowls at one time. Me and all my little helpers rolled out over 200 lbs. of clay and the good people of the Upstate made it into over 200 bowls of every shape and size imaginable. Thanks to everyone. It was a great time. Now off to the kiln to get them fired and ready for glazing. Check back for a Bowl-Glazing date. For sure we’ll be glazing on Oct. 27. Come back then and help.

SUCCESS!!!
The Spartanburg community came out in full-force and made bowls. Bowls, bowls and more bowls.
Today they made 169… oops, 168 bowls and they were BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you to everyone who came out and brought their kids and friends and all their talents. We had a ball. And you can do it again next Saturday, Aug 25th, from 10 am to Noon and from 1 pm to 3 pm. It’s FREE. It’s FUN. See you all there.

Hub City Empty Bowls 2012 will take place Saturday, November 10th, 2012 at The Chapman Cultural Center in the lobby of the David Reid Theater from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm.
